METHIDANA/ FENUGREEK SEED

SCIENTIFIC NAME: Trigonella foenum-graecum

UNIQUNESS: Fenugreek is used as a herb (dried or fresh leaves), spice (seeds), and vegetable (fresh leaves, sprouts, and microgreens). Sotolon is the chemical responsible for fenugreek’s distinctive sweet smell. Cuboid-shaped, yellow- to amber-coloured fenugreek seeds are frequently encountered in the cuisines of the Indian subcontinent, used both whole and powdered in the preparation of pickles, vegetable dishes dal, and spice mixes. Fenugreek is taken by mouth for digestive problems such as loss of appetite, upset stomach, constipation, inflammation of the stomach (gastritis). Fenugreek is also used for diabetes, painful menstruation. Fenugreek is used for kidney ailments, a vitamin deficiency disease called beriberi, mouth ulcers, boils, bronchitis, infection of the tissues beneath the surface of the skin.

UNIQUNESS: Fennel is an aromatic herb belonging to the parsley family. It is used as a spice and possesses a sweet taste that is similar to anise. It is an essential ingredient in the Mediterranean cuisine. It is native to the South European region but is consumed well in all of the European regions. It is a two-meter plant with dark green leaves and yellow flowers. IT IS GOOD FOR DIETARY FIBER,CANCER, CHOLESTROL AND SO ON.

KALONGI/BLACK SEED

SCINEITIFIC NAME: Nigella sativa

UNIQUINESS: Kalonji is an ayurvedic herb, producing blue flowers and black seeds, which are helpful in extracting Kalonji oil. Kalonji black seeds are being eaten for centuries in the Gulf countries, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. It is abundantly found in these areas. Kalonji oil is used in food in many parts of the world, especially the Middle-East. The plant is given more importance in the Middle-East and Muslim world as Prophet (S.A.W.) said that Kalonji, the black granules is the remedy for all diseases except death

SCINETIFIC NAME: OCIMUN BASIL ICUM

UNIQUINESS: Basil smells and tastes sweet, and it’s also highly nutritious. basil seeds are primarily black and tear-shaped. Chia seeds are a mottled grey and brown color with a more rounded shape.They reportedly have antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, anticancer, antispasmodic, and antifungal properties. Basil seeds may aid in regulating blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. The fiber in the outer coat of sweet basil seeds that have been soaked has a laxative effect. The seeds can also be used to alleviate flatulence, stomach cramps, and indigestion. The fiber in basil seeds makes you feel fuller and therefore may aid in weight loss.
